Why Clean Finish and Clean Swirl Recipes Were Retired from TreatArmor™
When TreatArmor™ first launched, two additional versions—Clean Finish Icing and Clean Swirl Frosting—were included alongside the core Pro Gloss and Pro Swirl formulas. These alternate recipes were designed for bakers who needed options beyond smoothie powder, using a Greek-style yogurt base powder (specifically EasiYo) as the substitute.
While some early tests showed promising results, additional testing revealed that these two versions didn’t consistently perform well across different climates, drying conditions, and treat types. More importantly, the specialty yogurt powder used in these versions became increasingly difficult to source reliably, especially for bakers located in Canada and the U.S.
Because long-term ingredient accessibility and consistent results are both central to TreatArmor™, I made the decision to officially retire Clean Finish and Clean Swirl. These formulas are no longer part of any new recipe downloads or bundles sold.
The Pro Gloss Icing and Pro Swirl Frosting recipes remain fully supported, fully tested, and continue to deliver consistent results for the majority of bakers today.
TreatArmor™ continues to be updated, tested, and refined to help bakers create reliable, high-quality, crack-resistant decorated dog treats that hold up across different environments.
